Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. Give, and it will be given to you. Press it in, shake it out, and measure it out so that it overflows, and it will be put in your belly."
This word is preceded by the words, "Do not judge, but forgive. The beginning of this word is written in imperative form, which means that those of us who have experienced being given much by God, forgiven much by God, and loved much by God, even though we ourselves are sinners unworthy of God's blessings, will want to do the same to those around us as God has done to us.
It means, "You will want to give." This is not because God commands it, but because we are willing to give that love that God has loved us with, a heart that is willing to give, a heart that responds to God's love.
God has lavished grace and love even on us. Those of us who have received this grace and love have come to want to share it with others and rejoice in it, rather than just receiving it for ourselves, and we have unknowingly become givers of it.
This is God's grace and miracle. God's miracles are everywhere in our ordinary daily lives!
