Gospel Reflections #89: Enjoying the Joy and the Fun!

Mark 5:19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”

Those who have been healed and restored by Jesus plead with Him to follow Him. But Jesus told them to go back to their own homes.

We, too, feel a passion to do something for Jesus and to follow him, but he urges us to share our joy with those closest to us.

Jesus wants us to share with our family and friends what He has done for us and how much joy it is for us. The joy will flow out from there like a river. We often shy away from sharing about God with our families, but they are the ones who feel your change and joy.

It is okay if you can't talk about Jesus. Your joy and gratitude cannot be hidden.

First, enjoy your joy with your family. Because joy and fun are both gifts from God!
