Gospel Reflections #81: God will not Give up until He finds you

Matthew 18:14 'Thus it is not the will of your heavenly Father that even one of these little ones should perish."

These are the last words of the parable about the search for the lone sheep that has wandered away.

God is mindful of those who struggle alone, those who cannot cry out their hearts, those who are hated by people, etc. God looks for us even before we cry out, "Help!" God will not give up until He finds each one of us, even if we are covered in scars and mud until He gets us back. And when He finds us, He rejoices loudly.

That joy shows that each of us is respected. God is searching for us with his life for someone we have long ago given up on.

We, too, have been sought out by God in this way. Let's remember the excitement of being found and embraced by God. If you have not had that experience yet, let God find you and embrace you. I am sure God will say to you, "I am so glad I found you!"
