John 4:28 "Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,"

The Samaritan woman came to the well because she needed water. She felt ashamed and alone, but she came because she had no choice. Jesus offered her a different kind of water, but she did not understand and continued to resist.

The woman, with layers of hurt and fear, finally took a sip of the Living Water in Jesus!

The moment we encounter the true Savior, our Messiah, we feel something changing within us. It is not clear, but we are filled with joy and hope surrounding us by a mysterious power. We can't wait to share this feeling, which we don't understand, with someone else.

Like the Samaritan woman, we are so moved that we forget what we came to the well for because we found much better. When we realize our own true needs, and when we finally find our true needs, I am sure we are off and running.

God knows our true needs and He is the only One. He is the God who approaches us and relates to us. He calls out to me and to you, and He wants to be deeply involved. Even if we continue to resist like the Samaritan woman, God will not give up. Whatever our condition, the relationship God is offering to us is!
