John 4:14 "The water I will give will become a spring within him, and out of it will flow streams of water that lead to eternal life."

Jesus approached the Samaritan woman to have a relationship with her. But she tries to avoid that involvement. 'Sir, I don't need to deal with these issues right now. The Messiah will eventually come and reveal these things. I will deal with it then"

To her words, Jesus responded in this way. Jesus is trying to tell her that He is the Messiah in a way that will not hurt her. Patiently and gently, He reaches out to gently peel away the layers of hurt in her soul one by one so that she will not feel guilt or shame.

God gives water to our thirsty hearts. That water fills our hearts to the point of creating a fountain within us. And not only that, it will become a spring and a river that pours out to others.

God's love, forgiveness, healing, and mercy will fill our hearts and become a river that overflows and moistens people. All we have to do is receive water from God.

The Samaritan woman also realizes that the person she is talking to is the Messiah. She had a faint hope in the Messiah alone. We too are seeking God in the depths of our hearts, and God comes to us and immerses us in the fountain of His love. He gently heals our wounds one by one. The water of Jesus is born in the healed person's heart. It is the water that leads to eternal life!
