Matthew 28:19,20 'Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the people unto me. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit... . and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
These are the words of what is known as the Great Missionary Commandment. When you hear these words, don't you feel heavy, as if you are being told to "go," "make disciples," "baptize them," and so on as if all you are being commanded to do is to do?
Before these words, Jesus said, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. This means that Jesus controls and arranges everything (He controls not necessarily the specific details of the events, but the specific details of His presence), He prepares everything so that we can go, He prepares the way so that we can disciple people, and He leads everything so that we can baptize.
We don't have to work hard, we just have to share the joy and hope that Jesus has given us where He has placed us. We don't have to do anything special but just share in the ordinary events of each of our daily lives. No matter how small the work, it is a holy light in Jesus' eyes. And after these words, He says, "I will be with you always, even to the end of the world. Jesus has prepared everything for us and promises to be with us even after that.
We are never alone. Jesus never leaves us alone. He is God who will be with us until the end of the world!
