Revelation 12:11 The brethren overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by their own testimony, and by their words."
Here is how we overcome Satan. First, our victory is not by our own strength, but by Jesus' atonement. It is not by our merits but by Jesus' sacrifice.
Second, the words of our own testimony. This is NOT about telling people about Jesus for the sake of evangelism and forcing them to follow the lists, but to tell them in our own words what Jesus has done for me and who my Jesus is.
The only way to overcome Satan is to stay connected to Jesus (We can stay connected with Jesus because Jesus stays connected with us. Jesus extends the initiative to connect through the cross. Our connection is a response to Jesus' already established and made connection towards us. It's NOT US WHO ACTUALLY CONNECT BUT JESUS in the first place.)
All we have to do is INTRODUCE our daily relationship with Jesus to those who come to us. (This is a life in the faith of God (the faith of God because it is through the Holy Spirit that we grow faith not from our own), not a strategy. This is the reality of the truly converted heart. We can tell about Jesus because Jesus came to us. This telling is not a work or a need to fulfill a standard to please God and do what a Christian should do. Telling about Jesus is ONLY an OVERFLOW of a new heart.)
There, our joy in being with Jesus overflows. Even in the darkness of this world, we are in Jesus and full of hope.
Jesus promises that He will come for us. Our God is faithful and ever faithful. Our God is not one who turns our expectations into disappointments! Our God is the one who willingly gave his life to get us back and to come for us.
The decision between Satan and God has already been made at the Cross. It is the best part of being a Christian to reveal that with more boldness and joy until the very end, isn't it?
Our victory over Satan is only the result of God's presence in our lives. We really don't fight against Satan God does, we just repeat to ourselves who God truly is to us through the Gospel. Woo Hoo!
