Matthew 2:15 For it was to come to pass that the Lord had said through the prophet, "I have called My Son out of Egypt.
At the time of Jesus' birth, Joseph and Mary were led to take Him to Egypt to escape King Herod's attack, and they stayed there until King Herod died.
God not only saves us but also protects and guides us after we are saved. The fact that Jesus lived a perfect life, died a perfect death in our place and paid the debt we could not pay is the source of our assurance of salvation. (It is Jesus' life and faith that God looks at not ours, we only need to be covered by Jesus.)
It is only by our faith (that God gives through the Holy Spirit) in Jesus that when God looks to us, he sees in us the perfect righteousness of Jesus, not in us ourselves.
We are fully covered by Jesus. God knows all about our future and He also knows the extent of our growth.
We are guided and nurtured accordingly. When we realize that God's hand is in whatever is placed in front of us, our anxiety and worry turn to joy and hope! (Darkness, sufferings, and pains do not come from God but God will never ever hesitate to put His presence in our darkness and difficulties. Only His presence will deliver us from all our troubles in our hearts.)
Even if we don't do it right, even if we fail, God's plan is sure to come to fruition regardless of those things! (God's wonderful plan for us is to be with us forever and nothing of our imperfections will stop God from reaching out to us.)
