Matthew 9:38 'Therefore ask the Lord of the Harvest to send you laborers for the harvest.'
These are the words of Jesus to His disciples after He had compassion on the crowds who were weak and broken down like sheep without an owner, while He was preaching the gospel from town to town, healing the sick, and ministering to them. He then selected 12 disciples.
In this world, there is no end to work and much suffering. God is not telling us to work harder but to ask the Lord of the harvest to send us workers. The harvest is the Lord's harvest, not ours to produce or take credit for.
God also knows our weaknesses. He prepares helpers so that we do not grow weary on our own. We can rely on God who prepares everything for us. We are also prepared as one of the workers.
God prepares all the workers. The Lord prepares what is needed, knows the right timing, and prepares the workers. The results are in God's hands.
God says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. We are not serving in a state of not knowing if there will be a harvest or not, but we are serving for "a great harvest. The harvest is the fruit of God's love and His treasure. We are one of the harvested, one of the saved. There is a richer harvest prepared for us, and the joy of working with God awaits us!
