Mark 10:15 Let me make it clear: "Only those who accept the kingdom of God like children will ever enter it. Unless one accepts the kingdom of God like a child, he will never enter it."
The disciples did not deal with children because they saw them only as useless, helpless, and worthless. But Jesus said that the Kingdom of God belongs to such ones.
We adults are so focused on obeying the law, serving, praying, and learning that we strive to be worthy of God's approval, but God invites those who, like children, have no power, cannot even do good, and can only trust and entrust to their parents, into the Kingdom of God.
All we have to do is receive what God does for us. All we have to do is receive and rejoice.
Like children, we can rejoice with all our might, enjoy it with all our might the gifts and favors of God, and when we are in trouble, we can immediately run to God and ask Him to embrace us, and that's all we can truly do.
Trying hard to get God's approval is like demanding a reward for your actions, which is not grace.
Grace is a gift given to those who deserve nothing at all. Adults do not accept God's gifts because they say they do not deserve them. (Adults want to deserve and work hard on something)
God has so many gifts for us, but we are often hesitant to accept them! God wants and waits for us to receive them with the openness and joy of a child.
God sees us as irreplaceable. We are treated as God's children. Let us rejoice in that more! God is itching to please us and He is looking forward to sharing that joy with us. Our God is simply like that!
