John 5:6 "When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, Jesus said to him, “Do you want to be well?”
Jesus went to a man who had been sick for 38 years and wanted to heal him, but Jesus did not want to impose His own way. He asked him, "Do you want to get well?
Jesus respects our free will every moment.
He listens to what we want, not just our requests or wishes, but the deepest cries of our hearts too.
But I think we often don't ask for healing honestly. We say, "I am not ready for this, so I can't ask for this!" "I can't ask you to do this because I'm not good enough yet!" We all have our own standards that we think we fail to reach so God cannot hear us.
God knows everything about us and wants us to come to Him honestly without trying hard by ourselves.
And we don't need to express our excuses or justifications for our spiritual status, we only need to honestly say,
"HELP US, HELP ME!"
God is waiting for us to do everything for us because we ask Him so. God brings out the deepest cries of our hearts into a great image of His grace!
Let us jump out to Jesus even before Jesus knocks on the door of our hearts!
