Matthew 11:29 I am meek and humble, take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, and you will find rest for your souls. Then you will have peace."

The yoke is what holds us to Jesus. By nature, we cannot put it on because our human heart does not want us to do it. Jesus also does not try to tie us down and bind us by force. What happens is that when we are in our most difficult times and we run to Jesus, then that's the only time, we accept the yoke of Jesus. Jesus then carries us on His back that lets him do all that he does.

We see, touch, and savor all of Jesus' words, His gestures, His actions, and His thoughts.

As we do this, we are drawn to and admire each of Jesus' ways more than our own. And as we become one with Jesus, our fears and doubts go away and we are filled with a sense of security and joy.

It was also written that yoking means to focus the mind on one point. No matter what our human heart won't allow us to do it. It would be hard and it isn't easy to focus our minds on one thing. So what Jesus does is that we may not often choose to take the yoke with Jesus on our own, but when we are burdened, He calls us to take the yoke with Him so He can bear our burdens. Jesus always offers to carry our burdens for us.

Jesus shows us by example, not to be just our model but to be our Savior. We don't have to work hard on our own. If we connect with Jesus, He will take us by the hand and lead us. Jesus has already won the world! Jesus is waiting to connect with us in the yoke.

There is a peace that awaits us that is not found in the world when we are connected to Jesus in the yoke!
