John 11:25,26 Jesus said. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. .... Do you believe this?"
This is one of the conversations of the exchange between Jesus and Martha when Lazarus had been dead for four days.
We may know some of what the Bible says by studying it, but how much do we know about who Jesus is? Do we believe that Jesus is our life?
Do we believe that if we believe in Jesus, we will live even if we die? We may understand and remember Jesus in our knowledge, but is He there in real life?
Jesus knows what is in our hearts, and He throws words at us to make us look at what is in our hearts that we are not aware of.
Martha knew what Jesus taught, but she didn't know enough about who He was, so she didn't fully believe in Him. The same is true for us.
Christian doctrine and training must be used as a straw through which we drink the living water.
It is Jesus himself that we take in. Think carefully about what Jesus did for you on the Sabbath and who He is to you. The more you know about who Jesus is, the more you will be filled with wonder, gratitude, and joy. When we truly believe in Jesus, He gives us new life at that very moment and revives our faith that was dead. Jesus loves us that much. That is our Jesus!

This Gospel Reflections page is written by Masae San, a devoted student of the Bible who passionately embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
