Gospel Reflections #40: Our Jesus is a Blissful God!

Luke 24:27. "And He explained what was written about Himself throughout the entire Bible, beginning with Moses and all the prophets."

After His resurrection, Jesus met with His disciples in Emmaus and did this. The disciples were at their wits' end when Jesus disappeared. Jesus approached them and explained what the Bible says about Him.

Jesus knows what is in the hearts of His disciples, so even when they are not aware of what is in their hearts, He explains it to them and teaches them one by one.

Like what He did to His disciples, He reassures us, makes us confident, and even gives us joy. We only know a little about Jesus, but he connects the dots and shows us who he is.

At all times, Jesus prepares our needs even before we would have thought and worked it out with our deeds, and He Himself works for our good.

Our Jesus is a blissful God!

When the disciples would have realized that it was Jesus they met in Emmaus, their steps would have been light and they would have run with hope.

Jesus always gives us hope. What remains in the end is faith, hope, and love! And joy!
