John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God. And the Word was God."
These words remind us of the creation. The Word was God when he created the heavens and the earth. God Himself created what we need. And God made us. How much love was poured into it?
The love of that time is still being poured out to us. From the time when we did not know God at all, to the time when we sinned, to the time when we turned away from God like the prodigal son, God gave us the same love that He did at the time of creation.
God has loved us unilaterally. He did not need to receive our love first or have a give-and-take relationship before He could love us. Why? Because God is love! God is love itself.
God's love is too big for us to understand, but still, if we touch just a little bit of God's love, when we understand even a little bit of that love, we have met God, and we have touched God, right?
Love is God itself, so if we touch it, even just a little bit, incredible power flows in from it. And we want to respond to that love. God responds to our response with love.
The chain of God's love is infinite and eternal. It extends not only to creation, but also to the plan of redemption to bring us back, to a new world where we will live with God.
We are placed in such a situation!
It is a God who searches for us, finds us, and is happy to see us again! Isn't it amazing just to know such a God?
