Mark 16:7 Go now and tell the disciples and Peter. Go now and tell the disciples and Peter, "He is going ahead of you into Galilee. He will see you there, just as He has already said."
When the women came to the tomb of Jesus, the stone of the tomb was moving, and the angel in the tomb said these words.
Peter must have been dragging his feet about the fact that he had betrayed Jesus by saying he did not know Him three times.
He may have hit rock bottom and was unable to get back up.
Jesus is concerned about such a Peter. How comforting and joyful it must have been for Peter to see Jesus' resurrection.
Jesus does not leave the depressed person as he is. He gives hope and restoration.
When we, too, hit rock bottom and realize our true condition, that is when we accept life-changing help and realize our true need for a Savior, and Jesus knows when that is.
Jesus will not give up. Until He restores you, Jesus will seek us, find us, and reach out to us. And He is calling your name.
Jesus never leaves our disappointments, regrets, and despair untouched. He always transforms them into healing, forgiveness, and hope. That is why Jesus died on the cross and rose again!
