Mark 14:30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times.”

What do you do when someone outright identifies your confidence as wrong? When he or she denies your self-assurance? Anger? Self-defense? Justification? Rebellion? Disbelief?

It could be a moment when your many emotions are swirling. When we are full of confidence and a sense of righteousness, we do not look back or stop to think about ourselves.

Peter, too, thought he would never do such a thing. But Jesus knew Peter's weakness better than he did himself.

But Jesus did not point out his weakness. He was trying to wrap Peter, who wasn't aware of his weakness, in Jesus' love.

Jesus knows our weaknesses and foreknows our failures. Jesus does not tell us to be strong and not that we must not fail at all! Jesus accepts our weaknesses and failures. What Jesus wants is that He just wants us to be aware of our weaknesses.

When we accept our weaknesses, we are given the strength to look at God. Our weakness will be switched with God's strength and that makes us proud of God, not ourselves!

By pressing the switch of weakness to God's strength, God envelops us as we are and pours out the energy of love. Peter was able to recover because of Jesus' love. If we think we are strong enough, we will never understand the switch from weakness to Jesus' strength.

We don't have to prove we are strong, we don't have to be afraid to fail. Because God has given us the switch of our weakness to His strength!
