Luke 13:16. 'This woman was .... . had been in bondage to Satan for 18 years. Shouldn't you have released her from that bondage, even on the Sabbath?"

These are the words spoken by Jesus when the woman healed by Jesus expressed her joy and the synagogue official was upset that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath.

First, Jesus personally approached and healed the woman who had been bound by Satan for 18 years.

The officials of the synagogue are only concerned with keeping discipline. Especially on the Sabbath, they condemned those who do not keep the discipline of how to keep it.

The weak cannot speak back or use their free will. At such times, Jesus is a shield for the weak. He always defends us. Jesus puts love before discipline. And those who are touched by Jesus' love are led to choose goodness, harmony, joy, and gratitude of their own free will.

Our freedom from bondage is God's priority, and the Sabbath in particular is a prime example of this. God does not look at how much we have not sinned or how much discipline we have kept, but how much love we have given.

I believe that the fact that Jesus bore the burden of our sins on the cross means that we are told to love others as He loved us because He has borne all our own. We have already been liberated by Jesus.

Therefore, we can share the full course of God's love of liberated joy, gratitude, hope, and peace with those around us!
