Matthew 9:33 "When the evil spirit was cast out, the dumb began to speak, and the crowd marveled, saying, 'Such a thing has never happened before in Israel.'"
This is one of the reactions of the crowd when they saw that a man possessed by an evil spirit was cast out and healed.
The crowd is divided into two groups: those who marvel at Jesus' miracle and believe in Him, and those who stick to their own senses and do not believe in Him.
We tend to stick to what is right through our own filter of senses, values, and experiences. And we refuse to believe what we don't understand.
Jesus gives us the opportunity to renew our old thought processes by exposing us to a variety of things that will expose us to a new thought process.
Even when we see the same thing, we see things differently before and after we know God. And the way we receive things is also different!
We do not rejoice when we understand Jesus through knowledge, but when we encounter Him, see Him, touch Him, talk to Him, and rejoice!
The more we know God, the more we are led to see from His perspective, not from the human perspective.
This is what it means to have the eyes of the spirit opened, isn't it?
When the eyes of the spirit are opened, it is the beginning of a chain of joy!
