Matthew 18:27 'And the lord of his household took pity on him, and forgave him, and canceled his debt."

Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a king who calls his slaves to liquidation. Even though this man owed a debt that he could never pay, he asked the king not for mercy, but for patience.

Did he have no idea what he was capable of, or did he say a few perfunctory words?

Nevertheless, his lord took pity on him, forgave him, and canceled his debt.

When you feel indebted to God, do you make up excuses as you go along? Are you trying desperately to make ends meet?

Christianity is not a debt payment system. God is a God who not only lightens our burdens but also gives us joy and hope. God's love for us is also an extraordinary forgiveness and mercy toward us. And God does not ask for anything in return.

He is a God who unilaterally loves, forgives, and pities us!

What is your God like?
