John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth appeared through Jesus Christ."

That law was always the embodiment of the character of God, who is love.

And Jesus fully manifested God's love and God's character by becoming man so that we could understand it better.

We cannot keep new wine (the Gospel way of living) unless we put it in a new leather wine bag (new heart, self in new life)!

And since we are more familiar with the old leather wine bag (old self in the old life of sin), we are tempted to keep it.

Jesus has revealed the message of God in the Old Testament era more clearly through Jesus himself.

In Jesus, we can be given the power through the Holy Spirit to replace the old leather wine bag of stereotypes and common sense with the new leather wine bag that Jesus gives us and receive His extraordinary love in abundance.

Jesus' grace is continuous and never ends. Grace is replaced with more grace and more grace and more grace.

This Gospel Reflections page is written by Masae San, a devoted student of the Bible who passionately embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She shares her daily reflections on the Gospels as a way to reach out to others and spread the message of Jesus. We're sharing her message here so that you too can experience the joy that comes from the Gospel that fills her heart
