Luke 1:68 "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel. The Lord has visited his people and delivered them."
These words are from Zachariah's mouth when he was able to speak.
God's presence with his people is a central theme throughout the Bible.
God is the Creator and is fully involved in the affairs and salvation of mankind.God's covenant of redemption is evident throughout the biblical narrative.
We have this image of God being near when we do good and God being far away when we do bad, but God is with us no matter what our condition is.
God comes in and works in us when we believe it and accept it.
We have the illusion that if God is love, He will enter and work in us on His own. God values our free will because He respects us.
Not because we are good people or have accumulated good merits, but because God is willing to work in us if we exercise our free will, seek Him and accept Him, even in circumstances beyond our control.
God's plan of redemption is not based on our deeds, but only on His love for us.
When we are touched by that love and filled with it, we want to respond to God.
God is watching and waiting near us. Every time we experience God's love, we are freed from our old self and want to rejoice in God's love.
