Luke 1:45 "How blessed is he who believes!"

The Gospel describes the blessings given to those who believe in God's Word, even when God's ways seem impossible and cannot be fully understood. Elizabeth, pregnant in her old age, gave two blessings to Mary, the mother of Jesus. The first blessing was, "Blessed are You among women." The second blessing was, "How blessed is the one who has believed that what the Lord has said will come to pass."

We are all invited to believe the unbelievable, to believe in God.

So do you believe in God's ways, or do you believe in your own?

By ourselves alone, we can only believe in ourselves. We may not even believe in ourselves.

But when we were seeking God in the depths of our hearts, and God worked in that area, and by the power of the Holy Spirit we were able to believe in God.

God's ways cannot be understood by human thinking.

But we can choose God's way or our own.

Even if we don't understand God's ways, we can still choose to believe in what we believe God is doing.

If we accept the work of the Holy Spirit, we are blessed.

We are made blessed by accepting God's ways, not by being convinced of them.
