Luke 1:20 "This thing (will) come to pass in due time."
This thing is that Zachariah would have a child. When we, like Zachariah, are faced with something that seems humanly impossible, our first reaction is disbelief and doubt.
Zachariah asked the angel by what means he could know it. This was part of what the angel said to him. Mary, on the other hand, when she received the news that she would be conceived by the Holy Spirit, obediently accepted, saying that there was nothing that God could not do, so let it be done to her as He had said.
God did not fail to bless Zachariah because of her unbelief and doubt. Nor did God allow Mary to live without any difficulties because of her obedient acceptance.
God loves the unbeliever and the obedient alike. In both, God is at work and always watching over us. And regardless of our condition, God's plan will come true when the time is right.
We can know God by experiencing His work. Let us experience today that there is nothing that God cannot do!
