Luke 17:17. 'Was it not ten who were sanctified? Where are the other nine?"
The ten people with serious skin diseases came to Jesus to beg Him to heal them. Jesus told them to go to the priest to have him look at their bodies. They were then cleansed on their way to the priest.
One of them, knowing that he had been healed, came back to Jesus, praising Him loudly and bowing down to express his gratitude. How about us? Don't we take it for granted that God listens to us? When God doesn't do what we want, we often mutter, "Why?" And when God does what we want, we sometimes think as if we did it ourselves.
Gratitude and praise may not be possible unless we truly acknowledge that we can do nothing. Also, we may not be able to give thanks and praise from the heart if we do not understand each and every thing that God does for us.
Our lives are a series of miracles. If we can find them, we will be able to boldly rejoice in God. God never stops His hand for us. We are kept alive in the miracle of God's love!
