Revelation 5:9 "You are...You are worthy. You were slaughtered and redeemed people for God with Your own blood from every tribe and people of different languages, from every nation and people of every nation."

In Revelation 5, a new song rises up in heaven. In order to reestablish our relationship with God, which was planned at creation, Jesus came down from heaven to earth to live as we do, as a human being like us. He then died to redeem us. In doing so, Jesus has been victorious over Satan and has returned to heaven to begin His final work as God through His resurrection.

We sing a new song of praise because each of us as individuals has experienced being saved, redeemed, healed, and renewed by Jesus. We don't sing about how much we have done and how wonderful we are, but we praise Jesus for each and every thing He has done for me.

We express the value of Jesus with our praise. We are united in Jesus' praise with our individual experiences. We are not to be proud of our actions or accomplishments, but we are to praise Jesus for how much He loves us and for the joy of that love.

Let us deepen our relationship and let us be one with Jesus in the deepest way, confirming our relationship with Him today for that purpose. Jesus is waiting for us with open arms!
