Matthew 3:11 He who comes after me is more powerful than I.

This is what John the Baptist said about the One who would come after him. John was sent to prepare the way for Jesus. Jesus' mission was much greater than John's, but I feel that the fact that there were people who told them about Jesus before He appeared allowed many people to focus on Him.

The Bible points to Jesus. The Bible is not a methodology for salvation, nor is it a commentary for the saved to become more holy.

The Bible is a demonstration of God's love for mankind, and that love is Jesus himself. Jesus pours out on us His unchanging love from beginning to end, forgiving us, compassionate to us, heals us, encourages us, and guides us.He frees us from sin and is always with us.Even now in heaven, Jesus intercedes for us. There is no joy or hope in living a life of faith without focusing on Jesus.

We are given hope, peace, and joy when we encounter and walk with the Jesus to whom the Bible points. The Bible contains characters such as John the Baptist, Abraham, Moses, David, Daniel, and the 12 disciples, but our focus is on Jesus alone. When our focus is set on Jesus, I am sure our eyes will be opened differently than before!
