Matthew 11:25 I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, who hid these things from the wise and the wisest, and showed them to those who are like little children. These things hast Thou hid from the wise and the wisest, and Thou hast revealed them unto them that are as little children."
This Word begins with praise. One of the reasons for praise is revelation. God shows us in many ways what He is like. But while God withholds the truth of the gospel from the proud who think they are wise, He is eager to reveal His good news to those who are willing to learn and know their own ignorance.
God knows and responds to our desire to know Him.
What kind of person is like an infant? I believe it is a person who recognizes that he or she has nothing to be proud of, and that there is nothing else to rely on but God.
God sees the depths of our hearts. And as our father, He is always mindful of us.
Parents do not ask for anything in return from their children. God the Father does not ask for anything in return, He only gives to us.
Look for each of the ways God shows us who He is .You will find them all around you.I hope you will share that wonder and joy with us today on this Sabbath!
