Luke 15:20 'But the father, though he was still far away, found his son, and taking pity on him, he ran up, embraced him by the neck, and kissed him.'
This is the father figure of the prodigal son, but the son did not imagine this at all. When he came to himself, he chose to work for his father as a hired hand.
He must have been prepared for the constant criticism he would receive from others for returning to his father.
What was it that made him decide to return?
I am sure that he remembered his father's love and thought it was the only way.
Maybe we don't turn our eyes to God's love until we are in a situation like this.
God is not at all interested in your achievements, your competence, your dedication, or your purity.
WHAT GOD IS INTERESTED IN IS YOU! We are weak and dirty ourselves, affected by sin! It is God who longs for you to come to me, just as you are.
If you don't understand God's love well, you can ask Him to help you understand!
God's ears and power are infinite!
