Acts 18:10 "I am with you. No one will harm you, for I am with you, and there are many of my people in this city. For my people are many in this city."
Persecuted by the Jews in Thessalonica and Berea, Paul arrived in Corinth in a state of fear and great anxiety, but he was determined to preach nothing but Christ, the crucified Christ.
The Lord met Paul in a vision, convinced him of God's presence, and encouraged him to preach the gospel boldly. God encourages us to make resolutions that we cannot make and fulfills them if it is His will.
To Paul, God declared and promised, "I am with you." God promises us that He will be with us! God always takes away our fears and insecurities. To experience this, you must tell God your fears and insecurities as they are. Surrender to God means to tell Him all your bad feelings and thoughts. Then God will embrace us and encourage us that He is with us, that He will protect us, that He will provide us with friends, and that we will be okay! He will encourage us.
The more we experience our relationship with God, the more we experience that His promises of encouragement and hope are enough. The more we know that God is God with us, no matter who we are, the more we are filled with joy!
