Mark 6:48 "When he saw that the disciples were having trouble rowing...walked on the lake to the disciples."

After the disciples had fed the 5,000 with five loaves of bread and two fish by Jesus' miracle, they took the boat out and drifted down the middle of the lake. Jesus was going to the mountain to pray.

However, because of a headwind, the disciples were left to fight the forces of nature on their own and they were about to lose that battle. Jesus was not physically with them, but he was aware of the location and situation of his beloved disciples. And Jesus understood their struggles and came to their aid in their time of need.

Jesus understands even the smallest things about us. He knows and understands our sorrows, our suffering, our loneliness, our worries, our weakness, and He reaches out to us when we need Him most.

The disciples saw the miracle of the multiplication of bread, but they did not fully understand the depth of Jesus' divinity and plan of salvation. We too may think we know Jesus, but in fact we have not yet experienced Him. Jesus is right there with us. When we experience that, our surprise will turn to joy, and we will probably want to hug Jesus so much that we can't help but feel like hugging Him. Please experience Jesus today!
