John 10:11 "I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

Jesus, the Good Shepherd, laid down his life for us, the sheep. Why did Jesus, the Good Shepherd, lay down his life for us, his sheep? Because He cares for us as if we were his own. He values our well-being as his sheep more than his own life.

Why does Jesus do so much for us? Because this is Jesus' love. Like when the wolf attacks the sheep, when danger threatens, Jesus, the good Shepherd, never abandons us, the sheep. On the other hand, Jesus does what we, as sheep, cannot do at any given moment. Therefore, we can follow Jesus with confidence, certainty, and joy.

Our good Shepherd knows each of His sheep. He is involved with each one, calling each one by name. Our Shepherd grooms them daily, gives them food and drink, and even plays with them. We, as sheep, are able to recognize the voice of our Shepherd, Jesus, and we are able to follow him!
