John 16:13,14 When he, that is, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you and make you understand all the truth... He will give glory to Me. For he shall receive of mine, and shall declare it unto you."
Jesus comforted and encouraged his disciples not to be upset after his announcement of persecution. Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit on His behalf. God has been with us from the time of creation to the end of the earth. He is always there for us and encourages us so that we do not feel anxious.
Our God is a God of great mercy. He meets our needs and prepares a heavenly dwelling place for us. The Holy Spirit stays with us until Jesus comes for us, guiding us to understand on our level who He is and what He has done for us. We just have to accept and receive it.
When we accept the Holy Spirit into our hearts, we are given the confidence in God, the joy we have in Him, and the hope of being one with Him, either through our understanding or through our experience. Our God is one who keeps His promises and yet raises our understanding. We receive it and are allowed to enter into rest. We have nothing to worry about.
