Matthew 27:52 "The tombs were opened and the bodies of many holy ones who had fallen asleep were brought back to life."

Matthew records the amazing event of the resurrection of many saints after Jesus breathed His last and the curtains of the temple were rent and the rocks were rent. Sin had closed heaven and earth, but the cross of Jesus broke the door of separation. The proof of this is that the saints were also resurrected. This is our confidence in the resurrection.

Matthew wrote it down as a fact. This is the blessed assurance given to us when we have lost a loved one or when we ourselves are facing death! Death is not the end, because resurrection and eternal life await us.

For Jesus has conquered death and has the keys of death. Jesus has already triumphed over the world. No matter when or how we fall asleep, Jesus will come to wake us up! Let us rest in peace and in God's love, not worrying about anything. No matter what the situation, we have hope!
