John 11:14 "When Jesus heard this, He said. 'This sickness does not end in death. It is for the glory of God. For the Son of God will be glorified by it."
These are the words Jesus said to Mary and Martha's brother Lazarus when he heard that he was sick. After these words, Jesus stayed in the same place for two more days. These brothers and sisters who were close to Jesus must have thought that Jesus would come to them immediately, and they may have even been irritated with Him.
What do we do in such situations? Do we focus on our own thoughts or do we surrender to Jesus? We cannot understand all of God's will. We may not understand all of God's will, and we may not need to.
If we know who God is, we can trust Him even if we don't know what will happen. God's timing can never be wrong or fail. We are the ones who have to see to believe. But the more we know who God is and what He has done for me, the stranger it is that we can believe without seeing.
We can be confident and at peace, even though we cannot see. This is because we accept God's love and respond to it. God never abandons those who seek Him. God's plans are steadily carried out in His timing, even if we do not understand them. What appears to be a slow work of God is planned to show the magnitude of the miracle! God's timing is never shifted or cancelled!
