Luke 15:7 "There is greater joy in heaven about one sinner who repents than about ninety-nine righteous people who need not repent."

God looks at each of us. God loves each of us. None of us are righteous. No matter how many wonderful things we do and how we live our lives as Christians, we are all sinners. The one sinner described here is a sinner who is aware of his sin and has accepted sin as sin. He is a sinner who has lowered his heart, a sinner who needs God.

God never leaves those who need Him alone (and even those who does not want him)! Rather, He welcomes us with joy in heaven. God does not save us because of our good or bad deeds, so God is willing to respond to those who need Him even if they are not good Christians or even if they are not Christians. Repentance is turning toward God, not repentance of sin (bad actions and decisions).

God is pleased to welcome us for us to turn and come to Him, but He comes looking for us from His own side. God is happy for us to turn around and come to Him, but He comes looking for us from His own side. It is God who works first!
