Matthew 24:6 "You will hear clamors of war and rumors of war, but beware lest you be in a panic. Such things are bound to happen, but it is not yet the end of the world."
When we hear these words, which words are we focusing on? If our attention is on the word "war," fear and anxiety will grow in our hearts. Jesus tells us, "Do not be in a hurry (be afraid)." The reason we need not panic is that God is sovereign and in complete control of His plan of salvation.
Our bones do not appear to be growing, but they are being remade into new bones. At that time, old bones must break first to make new bones. New bones cannot be made without breaking old bones. When God creates something new, He also destroys the old.
The second coming of Christ is never meant to scare us, but is a hope. The Kingdom of God will be established where we can live with Him.
There are things that must happen for this to happen, but we are not to panic, we just stand in Christ to be the light of the world at this time. Our God does not make us anxious, but tells us in advance (allows us to know what will bless us) what will happen and prepares the peace of mind that will enable us to deal with it.
Our focus is not on the signs of the end, but on Jesus' coming for us. God is faithful to keep His promises. God will never leave us behind! God is coming for us!
