Luke 1:53 He fills the hungry with good things and sends the rich away hungry."
Not all biblical characters are saintly monarchs. The poorer, the lowly, the outcast, and the marginalized also appear. On the other hand, there are those who are proud, who think only of their own interests, and who look down on others.
The Bible describes all kinds of human beings. This is because God accepts and has compassion on all people, no matter who they are, and He earnestly desires to save all people.
Also, God's way is completely opposite to the ways of the world, approaching those who are too weak to even give up asking for help, embracing them, and surrounding them with God's love. God never ignores even the slightest desire to seek Him in the depths of our hearts.
On the contrary, God seeks us out and rushes toward us. Even when it seems that we have lost all hope, God seeks us out and gives us hope. Even when we do nothing or can do nothing, God searches for us until He finds us. This is God's love, and God himself is love!

This Gospel Reflections page is written by Masae San, a devoted student of the Bible who passionately embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She shares her daily reflections on the Gospels as a way to reach out to others and spread the message of Jesus. We're sharing her message here so that you too can experience the joy that comes from the Gospel that has filled her heart.
