Psalm 19:11 "Through them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward."
The phrase "is warned" indicates that God's word is not mere knowledge, but a "breakwater" for life.
It shows the right path to follow and warns us beforehand against falling into the "traps" of sin and error.
As the psalmist David calls himself a "servant," a humble attitude of following God's guidance is the key to avoiding ruin in life.
The reward refers not only to heaven after death but also to "peace of mind," "wisdom," and "a stable life" in this world.
Verses 12-14 continue with a prayer for forgiveness of hidden sins and protection from pride.
Thus, the greatest reward is sanctification itself – living in a right relationship with God.
God does not give commandments to test us, but to show us the direction towards Him. Even if we do not achieve perfect actions, by keeping our focus on God, He will guide us in the rest.
For us, even failures and mistakes are all God's grace, leading us back to Him.
