Malachi 3:17 "The Lord Almighty says: 'They will be mine, and I will protect them, as a father protects his son who serves him.'"
God continues to work tirelessly even now to free us from sin and live with us.
But this does not last forever; there is a time of completion.
At that time, we will be received as God's own, as His treasured possession.
God does not leave us as we are—weak in faith, straying from the path, committing many mistakes.
God listens to our prayers and testimonies. Those who keep their eyes fixed on Jesus moment by moment, staying awake in prayer, are drawn close to Him.
Angels with outstretched wings carry our "prayers of repentance" to God, waiting to inscribe our names in the heavenly book.
Yet this is also the time when the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not, becomes clear.
Hearing this, we feel fear, but from the very beginning of creation, God has shown that humanity would be divided into these two kinds.
We cannot become righteous by our own strength.
We are transformed within God's grace by believing in His plan for humanity's salvation, setting our faces toward God, hoping and rejoicing that we may be made righteous in Jesus.
And Jesus comes to welcome us as God's treasure.
