Hebrews 11:27 "By faith Moses, when warned not to speak to the king, did not fear and left Egypt, because he considered the one who had spoken to him as one seen."
What does "by faith" mean?
"By faith" means focusing solely on God's promise—not on what we see, hear, or feel ourselves—and acting in belief.
Moses did not fear people or try to please them.
Even when attacked or hurt by others, Moses remained faithful to God's calling.
Because Moses was with God, continually following Him and relying on Him, he could choose endurance—not mere patience, but perseverance rooted in hope for God's promise.
We are swayed by what we see before us.
We are swayed by what we hear from others.
Even if we resist what we see or hear, we are often swayed by our own emotions and thoughts.
Do we truly believe in and entrust ourselves to God, not just with our lips, but consciously and from our hearts?
We often fall short, but God reveals our shortcomings and gives us daily opportunities to entrust those shortcomings to Him.
Perhaps only when we let go of trying to do things ourselves do we truly see God.
Even when unseen, God works beside us for our spiritual growth.
