John 1:26 "I baptize you with water, but there is one among you whom you do not know."
In response to the Jews asking John the Baptist, "Who are you?" he clearly communicated that he was neither the Christ nor Elijah, and focused on the One who would come after him.
As we live longer in faith, we sometimes act as if we are Christ, or pride comes before humility.
We can also become so focused on God's miracles and prophecies that we lose sight of God Himself.
John the Baptist was well aware of his role and position and was not swayed by the stimuli around him.
Often, we are like lost sheep, straying from our original calling and not knowing what we are doing.
Nevertheless, the Holy Spirit is at work in us, giving us the necessary insights when we need them.
We want to run to God Himself when we sense it.
God does not care how bad we are, but how many times we come back to Him.
God is in us, but we may never know Him unless we seek Him.
