Matthew 2:16 "And he sent a man --- every single boy under two years old who was in Bethlehem and the surrounding area --- to be killed."

The prophecy of the birth of the Savior divided the actions of those who awaited it and those who did not.

The wise men followed the Spirit's leading and celebrated Jesus' birth.

Herod killed an infant because of fear and anxiety caused by the prophecy.

Both probably believed and accepted the prophecy.

But the way we respond depends entirely on how we are in our hearts.

The same is true for us today.

We can either follow our own hearts, or we can abandon ourselves and follow Jesus.

We are weak and foolish, so even if we want to follow Jesus, we may not.

Let us confess it to Jesus and not try so hard to manage it on our own. We often want to follow Jesus with our hearts, but our flesh don't. We confess it to Jesus and ask Him to help us.

God allowed Herod's behavior so that everyone could see his cruelty and ugliness, but on the other hand, Jesus is also protected and guided.

Here, God is responsible for the little children who were killed, as God allowed it.

God never takes a single life lightly.

Jesus gave his life on the cross for these infants and for Herod as well.

Jesus is the Savior of all of us.

But only those who believe in Him and follow Him will receive that salvation.

All we have to do is look up to Jesus and believe in Him.
