Matthew 21:38 "This is the heir. Now let us kill him and his inheritance will be ours."

Jesus showed the Jews their true condition with the parable of the vineyard.

The owner of the vineyard demanded his just share of the harvest from the farmers.

Likewise, God demanded of the Jews a way of life worthy of the divine privilege He had bestowed upon them. But just as the servants who sought the harvest in the name of their master were put to death by the unfaithful farmers, so the Jews killed the prophets who came with messages from God.

God has prepared for us all that we need and all the ways we need.

He expects us to respond by living in a manner befitting a child of God.

Yet, we only see what is right in front of us, complaining, making excuses, and justifying, and we refuse to see the joyful life we are supposed to live for God.

Like the farmers in the vineyard, we may think only of what is good for us.

God is doing everything in His power to make us aware of this.

He does not blame us for not letting go of our bad thoughts, but only wants us to turn to Him.

God will not abandon us even if we abandon Him.

Our God is a God who pursues us and searches for us everywhere, and is happy to celebrate our search.
