Ezekiel 33:8 “When I say to the wicked, "You must surely die, O wicked man," and you do not warn him and speak to him to turn from his ways, then the wicked man may die because of his sin, but I will hold your hands responsible for the blood.”
Those who are entrusted with the Word of God and with the gospel have the same responsibility as watchmen as Ezekiel. We are not responsible for those who hear the gospel to make that person believe it. That person may or may not believe it. The responsibility lies with the person who hears it.
But if we do not preach the gospel, that person will surely die and be judged after death. And we are responsible for our failure to preach.
But there is no reward for blindly sharing the gospel.
We are moved by God in His timing and led by Him to do something about it.
Our role is to be convinced of God's love through our own experience and to share it with those around us.
To do this, we pray for them to be receptive to God's love, and we build trusting relationships with them.
This is not to fulfill our role, but to share God's love and let people know who God really is.
This is not an evangelistic strategy, but God's love itself.
Without love, no matter what we do or how successful we are, we are nothing to ourselves.
First, we are immersed in God's love, and when we are filled with God's love, we are equipped to be vessels of love to those around us.
God is love itself.
