John 16:24 "Until now you have not asked anything in my name. Ask, and it will be given you, and you will be filled with joy. Ask, and it will be given to you, and you will be filled with joy."
These are part of the words that Jesus spoke to His disciples at the Last Supper before His crucifixion.
Jesus was telling them what was going to happen to him, but they were in a state of joy and sorrow over the events in front of them without fully understanding why he was born into the world and what he was going to do.
Jesus became a man, died on the cross, and will be resurrected as God.
As a human being, Jesus sought and was given all of His earthly power from His Heavenly Father.
But Jesus' resurrection as God connects us to Heavenly Father, and we can ask, seek, and entrust our requests to Heavenly Father in Jesus' name.
Jesus defends us to Heavenly Father and to the inhabitants of heaven.
Even when everything before us does not seem to be changing at all, Jesus is working for our good.
He says, "Come, ask much of Me, and expect great things from Me. Come before me with a great prayer challenge. I am God, not man. It is My delight to give you abundantly." Jesus is telling us, "I am God, not man."
This is who Jesus, our God, is!
