Isaiah 30:21 “Your ears shall hear the words spoken behind you. 'This is the way you should go, walk here, go right, go left.’”
God knows our past, present and future, and He rules over them.
God's rule is to enable us to make good use of our free will by protecting, guiding and encouraging us, and to work on us to get back on God's path.
When we try to work in our own strength, no matter how well it seems to be going, we ultimately fail.
This is because education and knowledge neither make us fit for God's work nor give us the wisdom to know Him.
We must always ask: "God, what shall I do? What is Your will?" We can receive God's response by asking, seeking, crying out and surrendering to God.
God does not always give concrete suggestions to our cries.
However, we believe that ultimately, or just before we are caught up with Satan, God will give us specific guidance, as in this verse.
This is not God showing us how to escape Satan in order to save us, but to show us that even though the world is under Satan's control, it is the God we believe in who rules the universe, including this world.
We are not God's robots, but His children.
Just as human parents give loud and precise instructions to their children when they are in danger, and just as parents themselves go to help their children, God speaks precisely to the needs of us, His children.
So we can trust God at any time and move forward with hope and confidence.
