Daniel 3:25 "But I see four men walking free in the fire. And they have not been harmed in any way. Besides, the fourth one looks like the Son of God."
The king threw Daniel's three friends, who declared that they would not worship the golden image the king had made, into the fiery furnace.
But what the king saw was the situation in this scripture.
God does not always help those who believe in Him in this way.
I believe that God's plan was to show King Nebuchadnezzar their faith and the power of God.
There have been many people who have been martyred for God throughout history.
This does not mean that they did not believe in God or that they were beyond God's power, but it was simply God's best plan for us human beings.
God never wastes human life, but leads new life from death to life. And in the end, God plans for the martyrs to be resurrected as well.
The three young people can always choose God without hesitation because they know through personal experience what God is like.
We often expect a happy ending, but this is putting "our own heart"
before God's will, and when we are made aware of this, we build our relationship with God by repeatedly acknowledging it, confessing it to Him, and offering our thoughts to Him.
Even if things never get better, even if we are not recognized, even if we are constantly being pushed around, the deeper our relationship with God becomes, the more peace, healing, and hope are produced in our hearts.
God wants to give us His real best, His real provisions, His true happiness.
Nothing in this world is real.
When we encounter the only real thing, God, then we will see things differently!
