John 13:13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am."

We call Jesus "Lord" or "Savior.

When we call Him that, it means that we are living with Him as our "Lord" and "Savior.

After these words, we read, "But now that I, the Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. This is what it means.

We do not praise Jesus by calling Him "Lord," but by expressing it as we imitate Him.

Jesus said, "I have set you an example, that you do to others as I have done to you.

We are not to think of our own justifications or excuses for not wanting to do things, but to ask, appeal, and delegate to God, "I can't do it, I don't want to do it, but let me be a follower of the example of Jesus."

We can become more like Jesus by choosing to ask, appeal, and entrust to God, "I can't do it, I don't want to do it, but let me follow Jesus' example.

The more we realize that we cannot live without God's love, Jesus' guidance, and the Holy Spirit's support, the more we realize that we are God's beloved servants and God's sent ones.

And when we realize this, we will immediately run to Jesus, knowing that He is our "Helper" and "Re-Creator.

Our Lord is not only the one who has full authority, but also the one who has a deep relationship with each of us and makes us live in His love.
