Gospel Reflections #589: It is our Choice!

Romans 1:20 “From the time the world was created, the nature of the invisible God, that is, His eternal power and nature, has been manifested in His creatures, through which they can know Him. Therefore, they are without excuse."

God is working out His plan of salvation for us, but the final consummation depends on our receiving that salvation of our own volition.

To that end, He has made it possible for us to know who He is, what He has done for us, and what He will do for us through all things and events on earth.

Whether or not we realize this depends on the choices we make.

If we do not reject God's work and guidance, God Himself will lead us to know Him, to believe in Him, and to want to follow Him.

God will transform us so that we can rejoice and enjoy Him.

God does all that He can do for us. If we lack, it is our own problem, not His.

But we can bring our own shortcomings to God, who accepts them and makes them profitable in His way and in His time.

Let's get to know God better, get involved with Him more, and rejoice in Him who meets all our needs.
